MOTHERHOOD | A MINI SESSION

I partnered up with some amazing mamas, Sophia from Makeup & Mamahood and Katie with Hatched Collective, in April to host Motherhood Minis! These women were all so gorgeous and interacted beautifully with their littles, both young and old. I even got to photograph a generational picture, which was an absolute honor. Motherhood is the toughest and most rewarding thing we do… we should really celebrate it more often. Happy Late Mother’s Day to all the amazing mamas out there, especially these beautiful mamas! Scroll down for a little DIY… I’m sharing all the details on the floral piece featured in these images down at the bottom of this post! =)

We rented out Hatched Collective for these sessions and at the time, the walls were very much a blank canvas (if you haven’t been there, go now, it’s amazing). I knew I wanted to do a greenery piece with florals intermixed but wasn’t sure where to start. I pinned away ideas on Pinterest and finally found an amazing inspirational image.

I had the hardest time finding the base piece for the arch so I ended up cutting a large branch from our neighbors tree, that hangs over our house, and used that as a base. I pieced in some fake greenery to bring in the deeper green tones and then used floral wire and tape to hold it all together. I purchased some beautiful flowers from the local whole sale flower store and I bought some clear jewelry string from Micheals to string the flowers on the branch. It was so easy and cost less than $40.00 to make! Love a good DIY!
