Oh Fall… the stepping stone to cooler temperatures (here’s hoping) and a gateway into the holiday season… I always get a warm and cozy feeling this time of year. I’m not sure if it’s the sound of football playing in the background, the pumpkin spice candle burning, or the excitement of the changing season but whatever it is, I love it!
This past Saturday, we headed up to a little mountain town about an hour away and went apple picking. We missed this San Diego fall tradition last year so I was all to eager to partake in the fun. The apples were just right and the Volcan Valley Apple Orchard we went to was so welcoming. The scenery was breathtaking and the slight cloud coverage gave off the most perfect fall breeze. The babes had the best time picking and eating apples and running through the orchard. Thanks to their pro-picking skills, we walked away with about 50 apples that I now need to figure out how to use. I’m thinking I’ll be spending the week baking up some yummy fall goodness.
Picking apples worked up the appetite so we headed to Julian Station! It’s the cutest for kids, complete with a play area, outdoor seating and the best street tacos around! Don’t forget to grab the cider and pie… you’re trip isn’t complete without!
